A Writer, Content Creator, and Strategist
Resume
Professional Summary
Hi my name is Madison Williams I am graduating Senior Strategic Communications major and Leadership Studies Minor from Dallas, Texas. Throughout my academic career, the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communication has exposed me to different opportunities and given me hands-on experience in this field. It was in my classes that I became a strong writer and learned to develop my voice.
My curiosity and coachability has landed me internships in various roles within the fields of writing, content creation, distribution and marketing at A24, NBCUniversal, Chevrolet, and more. In my most recent venture, I was selected to be a part of the summer 2022 cohort of the Beats by Dre Black Creators program. Here I learned about producing branded content while hearing from industry professionals. I also got the opportunity to create my own short film with a team of other creatives from HBCU’s that will unveil later this fall. My ultimate career goal is to use my creativity and love for storytelling to become a screenwriter for television. Post graduation I am looking to work full time at an entertainment studio/company or as an assistant in a writers room.
